| | | In recent months there has been continued advancement in the way our graphic heads are manufactured.
Remo's new SKYNDEEP technology is now being offered in Ambassador, Emperor, Pinstripe and CyberMax versions, with more varieties on the way. These heads are made by imaging directly to the actual drumhead film before the head is manufactured, using a proprietary print process developed by Remo Corporation. The imaged heads sound identical to the non-imaged, standard models. A number of pipe bands are now using the graphic CyberMax snare batters, Ambassador or Emperor on their tenors, and Ambassador on the bass drums; reports have been outstanding. We feel even more excitement will happen when drumset players discover they can get their favorite style of drumhead with custom graphics that will look and sound great, with an image that will never wear off. Contact us if your interested, as we'll offer great combo pricing so you can outfit your entire kit without mortgaging the house.
Another significant development is the debut of imaged conga, bongo and djembe heads, again using the SKYNDEEP image technology and actual drumhead film. Karl Perazza is currently using graphic conga heads on tour with Santana, and Leon Mobley has his djembes outfitted with graphic heads when touring with Ben Harper. Whatever your needs, we can advise you as to what's possible, and help you make the right decision on graphic heads, no matter what drum you're playing.
Very soon we'll be updating our Drums & Stuff page with new percussion items that are affordably priced, ideally suited for purchase in quantity, to be used as promotional items or souvenirs. If that peaks your interest, contact us and we can tell you what's coming.
On a different note altogether, we have a comment about our Request-A-Quote page. Our system includes an auto-responder that will sent an e-mail to the address that's typed into the e-mail address field on the form. Occasionally we get messages that our reply is unable to reach the sender. This is why we ask for your phone number as well. It may be that we cannot get in touch with you through e-mail because of an incorrect address, spam blockers, or who knows what else. If you do not receive a response within 48 hours, this may be why. At this time we do not know of anyone that we haven't at least tried to contact within our stated 48 hour period. If you experience this, e-mail us again, and be sure to include your phone number.
Much has happened since our improved website came online almost two years ago. Our business has grown considerably, and we have great appreciation for all of you that have chosen to use our services.
Finally, for some fun, click on the crash cymbal by the hi-hat on the drumset at the top of the page.
Thanks,
Tom Z
