Here's a new post with the change to black for the "9-11" type. The closeups provide a great view. We've kept the engraving, and added a slight glow to enhance the contrast.
Here's your design with finishing effects, and a couple of closeups for detail. The outer type is now an embossed gold, with a very slight greenish outline for greater definition. The gold in the cross design is similar, but without this outline. All the grey areas have been given an embossed, silver metallic look. This includes the police and fire badges, where the "9/11" numbers have been engraved. Drop shadows have been added where appropriate.
