Here's another treatment. We changed the font to give more space for the flames to develop, and tried a silver color to match with the "AIFF" The blue, yellow and bronze elements of the flag have been adjusted closer to the authentic flag colors, as has some maltese elements and the outline of the outer text. The flames are approximate in their appearance. There will be more shading and shadow when we finish the piece in Photoshop. An earlier version is posted below.
